John Gormley is Director of Regulatory Affairs/QA for Grant Industries, Inc. with responsibilities in global compliance and safety for Grant’s portfolio of hundreds of products and ingredients for pharma, OTC and cosmetic application. This includes all related FDA filings, site registrations, and new excipient type IV DMF filings using eCTD format. He is respected scientist and inventor, having been awarded multiple patents with commercial significance. His team approach has led to multi-million dollar business developments, including commercialization of a non-irritating esterified form of Retinoic acid for non-prescription use in global prestige skin care. He is a proponent of businesses working closely with global regulatory agencies to develop and receive approvals for new innovations. He has taught silicone chemistry in the cosmetics materials program at Fairleigh Dickenson University and authored a chapter in the book on silicone elastomers in Harry’s Cosmeticology. 9thed. Part 4.2.3.2. Mr. Gormley has co-chaired the NYSCC regulatory symposium, and delivered podium presentations at In-Cosmetics, IFSCC and HBA Global conferences. His solid corporate background also includes technical management positions at Unilever, National Starch, and ICI. Mr. Gormley also currently serves as Scientific advisor to H2 Sciences Inc. for his role in the development of a commercial nanoparticle indicator for rapidly quantifying molecular hydrogen in H2 activated drinking water. He is an honorary science advisor to the Molecular Hydrogen Foundation for contributions in detecting activated hydrogen in water using nano-platinum colloid for medical and therapeutic use.
